Beloved, You Worry About Many Things.

I have been busy – doing-doing-doing for many months, that I’d forgotten what the small, still voice of God sounded like.  I’ve allowed many things of the world to wrap around me, cause distance between me and the Father.  I’ve been sick (asthma, sinus) for many months.   This too, has been a useful tool that Satan used to distract me.

As I sat waiting for Sunday Mass to begin, I was fretting about many things; my family, my health, finances, my ill health.  All good things.  Then I heard that sweet, loving, familiar voice.  “Daughter of mine, you worry about many things.  Stop, let me take care of them.  Just come be with me for now.”

I felt myself receiving his peace; my shoulders fell to a relaxed posture, my heart lightened.  Then the sure sign of the spirit for me….tears.  This precious gift of tears, helped to wash my heart of the things that burden it.  I cannot fix all the things I fret about, and I reject the lie Satan tells that I can and should.

What a relief to spiritually “shake-off” those many things!  Are you carrying around unnecessary burdens that Satan says you can fix?  Ask the Father to show you those things He calls to your attention; then shake-off the rest.  It will only shrink your spirit and eventually break your heart.  God is waiting to take over for you.  Let him.
